Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fit for Life Foodies a weight loss program?

Not specifically. This is a get healthier, have more energy, control your cravings, improve your relationship with food, not-feel-like-crap program. However, for many women that does involve losing weight, or more specifically, losing fat.

To lose fat, you must be in a slight caloric deficit (meaning, you must consume fewer calories than you burn) BUT ALSO have balanced hormones, which is the #1 focus of this program. FFLF offers a fat-loss template that will put you in a caloric deficit while balancing hormones, creating an optimized fat-loss situation.

What if I’m under 40? Will FFLF benefit me?

While Fit for Life Foodies is geared towards women 40 and over and the hormonal changes that affect weight gain, fatigue, and energy levels in women from pre-menopause to post-menopause, the sound nutrition principles and focus on nutrient-dense foods will benefit women of all ages.

Is this a Keto/Paleo/Low Carb diet?

Not at all! FFLF focuses on protein, fiber, and water with added amounts of starchy carbs and fats depending on your personal goals, preferences, and needs.

Will I have to give up all sugar/potatoes/gluten/wine/chocolate/cream in my coffee?

No! There are no foods or food groups that are off limits. In fact, MODERATION is a key principle of the FFLF lifestyle. So if you LOVE wine, you can have wine…just maybe not 3 glasses a day.

Do I have to log everything I eat, track macros, or count calories or points?

No. In fact, one of the main principles of FFLF is moving towards a place where this is not necessary. That being said, awareness of what we eat and how we feel is important information, and some women may choose to journal their food and biofeedback.

So what exactly is “biofeedback?”

Our bodies are talking to us all the time. The problem is, we get so busy or focused on weighing and measuring, logging our food into MyFitnessPal, counting Weight Watchers points, or staying “compliant” with whatever program we’re on that we don’t hear what our body is telling us. Hunger, cravings, degree of satisfaction and fullness, energy level, sleep, and mood are all signals, or biofeedback, from our bodies. This is what you will learn to listen and react to as you follow your FFLF template, making changes as needed.

I have some emotional issues with food. Will this help?

Fit for Life Foodies incorporates the principles and tenets of #Moderation365—a method for reducing food obsession for people with a history of yo-yo dieting, emotional eating, obsessive tracking, and going back and forth between restricting and binging. FFLF offers strategies for unlearning dieting rules, restrictive protocols, self-shaming and judgement and helps women learn to “navigate the middle” with food and learn to eat intuitively.

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Because FFLF is not about specific meal plans that require you to eat certain foods, there is flexibility and freedom to compose meals that avoid allergens and consider other dietary restrictions. You will be given extensive lists of proteins, fats, and carbs and then you choose the foods that you like.

What if I’m vegan or vegetarian?

If you are a vegetarian but are willing to eat eggs, dairy, and use protein supplements then FFLF is doable for you. However, before registering you might shoot us an email so that we can determine if FFLF is really right for you. Unfortunately, FFLF is not currently adaptable to vegan diets.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee or refunds?

Because this is a digital, online course, no refunds are given once the course materials have been sent out during Week 1, which is Orientation and Prep Week. If you register and then have second thoughts, we will gladly refund your money before the course begins.

I’m a guy…can I register for FFLF?
